Have you noticed we always eat the same things when we don’t have time to cook or when we need a snack and the footy game is about to start? Let’s revisit waffles and add the bits and pieces we have in the fridge for a yummy savoury version…
I made 2 versions ... Ham / chorizo and blue cheese / feta / parmesan ...
of course you can readjust your savoury waffles according to your taste or just with what you have in the fridge

Ingredients for a dozen waffles:
400 g of milk
300 g self raising flour
60 g butter, melted
1 teaspoon salt
For the filling:
50 g of spicy chorizo
50 g blue-cheese
2 large slices of ham
50g feta cheese
50 g parmesan cheese
50 g grated Swiss cheese
In the bowl of Thermomachine, add milk, flour, eggs, melted butter and salt.
20 seconds at speed 9. You should get a smooth dough.
Separate the mixture into 2 bowls (about 425 g of dough in each)
Prepare your waffles filling by dicing your ingredients into small cubes.
Add different ingredients to each bowl, according to your taste. And another one with ham, blue cheese and grated Swiss cheese.
I have done a chorizo/parmesan cheese and feta mixture.
And another one with ham, blue cheese and grated Swiss cheese.
Mix well and pour some mixture into your waffle maker using a ladle.
Cook 5 minutes until golden.
Serve as an appetizer with a garden salad or cut into triangles for a small improvised snack.
